Computer Education

To encourage the technical education and computer literacy, Computer awareness campaign was started in the school by Sanjay Khanna convener Socio Economic Welfare Society(SEWS) in the year 1988.

Some of the events
  • In the year 1994 the SEWS has started Computer Awareness Campaign in leading schools of Delhi and nine schools were awarded with the prestigious  Jugal Kishore Khanna Memorial Trophies for the encouragement of Computer Environment. The award distribution function was held on 3rd April 1994 at Constitution Club,Vithal Bhai Patel House and was presided over by Shri Ram Niwas Mirdha, M.P, Shri Murli Manohar Joshi, HRD Minister; Shri Sikender Bakht, M.P and Comrade Ramkishan, Ex Chief Minister of Punjab.

  • In December 1994 and January 1995 the SEWS conducted Computer Awareness tests in the various public schools of Delhi.

  • In November 1995, the Society organized a Computer Workshop in Goa, which was attended by the senior officers of Government Undertakings from all over India.

  • In 1997 the Society organized  Computer Awareness Program in twenty leading schools of Delhi.

  • On the Closing Ceremony of 50 Years of Independence, the Society organized a function at India International Center, which was inaugurated by Union Minister of Industries, Shri Sikander Bakht and presided by former Union Minister, Shri Ram Niwas Mirdha. The veteran freedom fighters of Delhi including Mir Mustaq Ahmed and Subdhra Joshi etc. were honored in the function.

  • In the Computer Award distribution function organized by the Society on 16th August 1998, Smt. Chona, the Principal Delhi Public School (D.P.S.) R. K. Puram; Shri Satender Kumar, Principal G. D. Goenka International School; Shri Singal Principal Birla Vidya Niketan; Shri Shekhar Principal Gyan Bharti Scool; Shri Bhola from Mother s International School; were among those who received trophies on behalf of their schools from Shri Sikender Bakht, Union Industry Minister.
